Pow Wow on the Plateau

The Native American Turtle Clan Association will host the Pow Wow on the Plateau "Honoring All survivors" May 12 and 13 at the Cumberland County Community Complex.

Events begin May 12 at 9 a.m. and continues through 6 p.m. that day. Two grand entries are scheduled, one at 11 a.m. and another at 4 p.m. On May 13, the pow wow will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a grand entry at noon. 

There will be American Indian drums, singers and dancers with exhibition dances. There will be an opportunity to meet and talk with traditional American Indians as they show and teach their culture and histories.

Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 5 to 16. Children age 4 and younger will be admitted free and seniors ages 55 and older will be admitted for $3. All active military, law enforcement, firefighters and emergency medical technicians are admitted at no charge as a thanks for all they do.
