Shanks Center for the Arts

Shanks Center for the Arts

Dozens of people gathered Saturday, May 23rd to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of The Shanks Center for the Arts. The Shanks Center is a partnership of five organizations, CCP Cumberland County Playhouse, CACE Cumberland Artisans for Creative Expression, PAART Performing Arts Alliance of Rural Tennessee, CAC Crossville Arts Council and DCI Downtown Crossville, Inc.

The Center houses office & storage space for the five partners and several art galleries managed by CACE. The gift shop offers books and CDs by local and regional authors/musicians and creative gifts for children. The Shanks lobby is an information center for all cultural art organizations.  Each month the galleries will change and offer new art items. The Shanks Center is at 140 N.
