Bear Hollow Mountain WMAThis 17,000 acre woodland in Franklin County is one of Tennessee's newest Wildlife Management Areas for hikers, horseback riders and hunters. There is a nearby private campground and access for hunters, hikers, and even horseback riders.
Bone Cave State State Natural AreaBig Bone Cave is a 400-acre natural area located in Van Buren County on the Cumberland Plateau escarpment. It is named for the discovery of the bones of a giant ground sloth (Megalonyx jeffersonii) in 1811.
Bridgestone-Firestone Centenial Wilderness WMACalled "The Grand Cumberlands" by an early 19th-century traveler, this 10,000-acre WMA is recognized as a natural treasure for its uniqueness and beauty.
Bunkum Cave/Cordell Hull Birthplace State ParkThis is the birthplace of Cordell Hull Secretary of State during the Roosevelt Administration. He was a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize and is known as the Father of the United Nations. The Cordell Hull Birthplace and Museum is a historic site owned by the State of Tennessee.
Burgess Falls State ParkBurgess Falls cascades 130 feet into a deep gorge and can be viewed via a short trail from the state park's parking lot. The trail to deck overlooking the waterfall is approcimately 3/4 of a mile from the parking lot with another half a mile to reach the base of the falls, so a visit could be made in an hour and a half.
Catoosa Wildlife Management Area The area has many deep cut canyons created by the rivers and streams, and offers access to beautiful scenery unlike anywhere else in the Cumberland's.
Catoosa Wildlife Management Area at the Devil's Breakfast TableThe Devil’s Breakfast Table is wonderful stopping point with a great view of Daddy’s Creek (home to the Tangerine Darter) as well as nice wildflower opportunities.
Chuck Swan Wildlife Management AreaEnjoy a picturesque drive down Sharp’s Chapel Road leading to this tranquil and secluded spot. Camping areas around the eastern portion of this large site offer opportunities for bird and butterfly watching. The area is also home to several cemeteries, a firing range and miles of drivable roads.
Cumberland CavernsTennessee's Largest Show Cave and home of Bluegrass Underground, open daily for scenic walking tours year round. We also offer educational field trips, overnight spelunking trips, daytime adventure trips, group tours, and banquets, birthday parties, and weddings.
