International Friendship Bell
As a symbol of everlasting peace, the International Friendship Bell in Oak Ridge, Tennessee was a joint project between a Manhattan Project city and the country of Japan. It was designed in Oak Ridge and cast in Japan with markings that illustrate the commonalities between our two countries.
The bell is located in Bissel Park in Oak Ridge and is available for all to ring.
