Charit Creek Lodge
Charit Creek is a rustic wilderness lodge located in the valley in the heart of Big South Fork National River & Recreational Area. The buildings are on the National Historic Register and are the oldest buildings still being utilized nation wide inside the park system.Our hearty meals are made fresh daily. Dinner is served at 6pm and breakfast at 7am (central standard time). After a day at Big South Fork enjoy volleyball, horseshoes, sit by the crackling fire or relax in the hammock beside a rushing creek.
There is no electricity at Charit Creek Lodge, but each room is equipped with a wood stove and kerosene lamp (bring a flashlight). We also provide comfortable beds and clean bed linens (bring your own towels). Sack lunches are available for day hikers/riders by reservation 3 days in advance.
Charit Creek Lodge has clean restroom facilities. Showers are available seasonally.
For equestrian guests, there are 11 new 10'x10' horse stalls and tie out (both include hay).
Horseback rides to Charit Creek Lodge can be arranged through Southeast Pack Trips.
